Following prior meetings throughout the summer, HBA staff will again be meeting with Washington County leadership in September to address issues facing builders in the County. Through previous work on this issue, Washington County added an additional grading inspector, meaning they can now provide site grading and other structural related building inspections five days a week – instead of the one day a week they had the capacity for before.
In addition, Washington County recently posted an opening for a new building official to be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing all program functions in Building Services. Applications are due September 17 and more information about the position can be found here.
The HBA will continue to keep members posted on the latest developments in Washington County as we continue to engage on these important issues.
