Over the summer, the Sherwood City Council debated who should manage the city’s recreation center – the options were renew the contract with the Sherwood YMCA, or negotiate with an out-of-state company. After voting in favor of contracting with the company, Sherwood Mayor Krisanna Clark-Endicott and City Councilors Jennifer Harris and Sally Robinson all faced recall. On October 2, Mayor Clark announced her resignation, citing her intention to move to Redmond. The recall election of Harris and Robinson took place on October 17 and saw them both recalled by over 70% of the vote with 4K+ votes cast.
The Sherwood Mayor position is currently vacant, and the open council seats will be appointed to fill out the remainder of the terms, both of which expire January 2019.
