Wilsonville recently informed HBA they plan to seek the full amount proposed for their citywide Transportation SDC. HBA staff will continue to work with Wilsonville and members working in the area as the statutory notice period begins.
HBA staff has had conversations with the City of Wilsonville as they plan to update and raise their Transportation SDC and has been working to alert members building in Wilsonville prior to the statutory notice period. City staff recently informed HBA that they plan to seek the maximum defensible amount. That said, they have invited HBA feedback on what potential adjustments may look like with respect to the fee and its implementation.
Below is a chart documenting the current TSDC in Wilsonville and the new rates. As the chart shows, the current maximum defensible has been significantly decreased since a May 2016 proposal – in large part due to work by HBA staff regarding the proposed project list and keeping future development affordable in the region. This decrease reflects HBA’s efforts to be engaged in SDC conversations far ahead of the statutory requirement period.
|1/2017 proposal||5/2016 proposal||Current rates|
|Single Family Home, per DU||$13,731||$22,334||$7,695|
|Multifamily Home, per DU||$9,447||$15,367||$4,771|
|Office Park, per 1000 SFGFA||$16,598||$26,998||$11,389|
|Supermarket, per 1000 SFGFA||$57,582||$93,661||$42,324|
HBA will continue to work with the City of Wilsonville as they implement this new rate, as well as while they finalize their Frog Pond Master Plan. If you have any questions contact James Adkins at email@example.com.
