The Portland Water Bureau recently gave HBA 60-day notice ahead of the first public hearing on their Water SDC updates. The proposed rate is an increase of $185 – from $2,400 during the 16-17 fiscal year to $2,585 during the 17-18 fiscal year. HBA staff has been reviewing the methodology and will be attending the hearing on May 18. At that time, City Council may approve a rate different than the rate proposed by PBOT. The current plan is for the new rate to take effect on July 1, 2017 and last until June 2018.
