Portland building industry celebrates excellence at annual awards ceremony

Nearly 200 home building professionals gathered June 14  for the Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Portland’s seventh annual Excellence Awards Banquet, which recognizes the outstanding work of local companies across a variety of categories, including new residential construction, remodeling and marketing. Winners are selected by a panel of industry professionals based on aesthetics, general design and other factors and are divided into selection groups by budgetary consideration. This year, the association awarded 32 awards.

“It is important that we take some time each year to applaud the companies who lead our industry with professional and high-caliber projects,” says Steve Heiteen, HBA President Elect. “Despite what has been a difficult few years, these companies represent a building industry that is delivering outstanding service and quality. Their continuing commitment to excellence makes a powerful contribution to the improving economy and housing market of the greater Portland metro area.”
